We believe that long-term recovery from substance misuse is possible for anyone, and we want to keep guiding others in that journey. We're also incredibly passionate about our most important and often overlooked population: our kiddos! Providing substance misuse education and prevention efforts helps us reach over 10,000 students in Henderson County each year. This is what gets us out of bed every morning.
Here is what your donations help make possible:
- Expanded peer support and recovery programs for youth, families, parents and adults.
- Continued support for the Henderson County Youth Council. Providing youth with purpose through leadership skills and community service is a great prevention strategy!
- Activities for the annual Week of Hope, where we partner with Henderson County Public Schools to take a stand against substance misuse.
- Providing lock boxes, bags and bottles to the community so medications can be stored safely.
- Participation in community drug take back events with law enforcement so medications can be disposed of properly and kept out of the wrong hands.
- Expansion of Handle With Care, which helps first responders communicate with schools to provide trauma-informed care and support to students.
- Providing our 'Hope Rising' education courses, which teach evidence-based life-skills to justice-involved youth.
- So much more!
